Privacy Policy

Last Updated September 26, 2023

Outerwatch, LLC and our affiliates and subsidiaries ("Outerwatch," "we," or "us") take your privacy seriously. You should take the time to read our Privacy Policies (the “Policies”) to understand how we collect, use, and share personal information.

The following explains how we collect, use, and disclose personal information for services we provide to you as a business entity, including in connection with services Outerwatch offers (“Business Services”). These policies do not cover the practices of third-party partners such as our service providers, third-party advertisers, or any social networking platforms, or any other third parties other than our service providers or employees. For information about third-party privacy practices, please consult their privacy policies.

Information you provide directly. We collect personal information you provide to us. For example:

  • We collect your personal information when you engage with or register for our Business Services, such as contact information (e.g., name, email address, postal address, phone number, fax number);

  • We may collect your personal information, such as contact information, when you contact us for assistance or when you indicate that you are interested in hearing from us or one of our partners;

  • We may also collect your demographic information (age, occupation, role(s), etc.) to personalize and improve our Business Services and for marketing purposes.

  • We also collect information when customers or prospects visit our websites. This information helps us understand what users are doing on our websites and how we can improve our websites, service, and policies.

Information is collected automatically. As further described in the Use of Cookies and Similar Technologies section below, when you use our products and services, some information is collected automatically. For example, when you visit our sites used for our Business Services, our web servers automatically log your computer's operating system, Internet Protocol (IP) address, access times, browser type and language, the website you visited before our site, and your activity on our sites.

Third-party sources. We also obtain information from third parties. We protect information obtained from third parties according to the practices described in this policy, plus any additional restrictions imposed by the source of the information. These third-party sources may include other partners with whom we engage in joint marketing activities.

When you are asked to provide personal information, you may decline. But if you choose not to provide information that is necessary for certain products or features, those products or features may not be available or function correctly.

Use of Cookies and Similar Technologies

Our websites use "cookies" that are small files stored on your computer to allow us to better understand which pages our users visit, what they do when they visit those pages, and how much time they spend there.

In addition, our websites may contain other technologies to track user behavior, such as “web beacons” (also called single-pixel gifs) which we use to help deliver cookies on our websites, tell us which parts of a page are visited or used and gather usage and performance data. We may also include web beacons in our promotional email messages or newsletters to determine whether you open and act on them. In addition, we may gather certain information automatically, such as Internet Protocol (IP) address, browser types, Internet Service Provider (ISP), the website you visited before our site, operating system, device specifications, date / time stamp and clickstream data. We use this information to analyze trends, to administer our Business Services, to track users’ movements around our websites and to gather demographic data about our user base as a whole.

Our websites may include web beacons and cookies from third-party service providers. In some cases, that is because we have hired the third party to provide services on our behalf, such as site analytics. In other cases, it is because our websites contain web beacons used to track interaction with and effectiveness of content (such as videos and informational content) or ads from third parties. Because your browser connects to those third parties' web servers to retrieve that content, those third parties are able to set or read their own cookies on your device and may collect information about your online activities across websites or online services

The third-party analytics providers we use include Google Analytics and Microsoft Application Insights. Many third-party analytics providers allow you to opt out from their collection or use. For more information, click on the links above.

You can also use browser controls to limit how the websites you visit are able to use cookies. Instructions for blocking or deleting cookies may be available in each browser's privacy or help documentation. Please be aware that if you choose to block cookies, certain website features that depend on cookies may no longer function. If you choose to delete cookies, settings and preferences controlled by those cookies, including advertising preferences, may be deleted and may need to be recreated.

Because there is not a common understanding of how to interpret the DNT signal, our websites do not currently respond to browser DNT signals. Instead, you can use the range of other tools to control data collection and use, including the cookie controls and advertising controls described above.
